CRS LEADERS ATTEND ACR PRESIDENT’S RECEPTION IN HONOR OF BOB ACHERMANN

At the ACR 2023 Meeting in Washington, D.C., longtime CRS Executive Director and Lobbyist Bob Achermann, JD was awarded the ACR’s Distinguished Service Award in recognition of his highly notable service to the College and the profession. ACR held a special dinner and reception to celebrate Mr. Achermann’s award, and CRS leaders were proud to attend in support.

This year, the American College of Radiology awarded Representative Raul Ruiz, MD its ACR Congressional Award for Radiological Excellence. CRS leaders (from left: Dr. Mark Alson, Dr. Johnson Lightfoote, Rep. Ruiz, Dr. John Go, Dr. Sravanthi Reddy, Dr. Steven Wang, and Dr. Mark Yeh) visited Congressman Ruiz in his Washington, D.C. during the ACR Annual Meeting to present him the award and thank him for his tireless work supporting issues that are important to physician radiologists and their patients.
CRS WINS THE ACR CHAPTER CHAMPIONS CUP AND RADPAC’S MARCH CHAPTER CHALLENGE

Thank you to all the CRS members who made a contribution to RADPAC! CRS was officially awarded the ACR Chapter Champion Cup, and the chapter received its check for winning the RADPAC March Challenge. These member contributions allow RADPAC to be effective in advancing and promoting policies that benefit both radiologists and their patients.

ABOUT THE CALIFORNIA RADIOLOGICAL SOCIETY
The California Radiological Society (CRS) is the state chapter of the American College of Radiology (ACR). As a professional association, CRS advances the science of radiology; improves radiologic service to patients and the medical community; and the maintains high medical and ethical standards in the practice of radiology.
The Code of Ethics of the American College of Radiology, as published in the College's most recent bylaws, is expressly adopted as the ethics of the CRS.
The CRS is comprised of six classes of members, as follows:
(1) Active Members
(2) Associate Members
(3) Members in Physics
(4) Associate Members in Physics
(5) Members in Training and Members in Training in Physics
(6) Retired or Inactive Members.
